A documentary tracing the history of Quarr Abbey from its 12th-century origins as a Norman foundation, through dissolution under Henry VIII, to the arrival of a new community and Dom Bellot's design of the modern monastery. The film explores the virtues and labour of monastic life, and the stability found in shared prayer and the Rule of St Benedict.
